Philip Baker Hall, Some Like It Hot, Shuggie Otis, The Brothers Johnson

We made it. Friday is here.

There are so many great new movies hitting the services right now. And yes, we'll get to them, soon. But for some reason, I've been revisiting the classics lately. I guess I find them comforting during these chaotic times.

Let's jump right in, shall we?

Reel Dynamite
This week's movie pick is Some Like It Hot, a true classic that was named the Best Comedy of All-Time by the American Film Institute back in 2000. Does the screwball comedy hold up, even today? In a big way. Cue up Some Like it Hot this weekend - it's guaranteed to leave you with a smile.

One Of The Greats
The veteran actor Philip Baker Hall passed away earlier this week. He was underrated for sure, and he had a style all his own. Most know him as Lt. Bookman from Seinfeld, but we'll never forget his work with P.T. Anderson. Of course, Boogie Nights was a great film, but for his best performance we recommend looking up Hard Eight.

Ear Candy
The original version of Strawberry Letter 23 by Shuggie Otis is one of the trippiest, funkiest, happiest, coolest jams ever made. The Brothers Johnson would later do a Great Cover, and that version went to number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Enjoy the weekend, everyone!
