It's time to talk about the good, the great, and the dynamite. Are you ready? Let's do this.
This week we recommend firing up The Big Lebowski, a film that has slowly grown from an underappreciated cult favorite to a monster of a classic. It's a fun ride and a great way to kick-start your weekend. Pour a cold white Russian, relax, spark a jay (if that's your thing), and get ready to hear the "F" word two hundred and ninety-two times.
For my televizzle peeps, I have excellent news. The long-rumored return of Party Down is definitely happening. Season three just wrapped shooting. No word from Starz yet on when it will air.
Every Day by Buddy Holly. So joyous, yet so simple in structure. Play this in the morning with a hot cup of Joe to set a positive vibe for your day.
For Your Mind Grapes
deKooning: An American Master, by Mark Stevens and Annalyn Swan. Winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle award, this is a riveting portrait of the abstract expressionist master. Can someone explain to me why there hasn't been a major motion picture about this guy yet? Let's get on that.
Hope your weekend is awesome.
